Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and review structural designs and analysis for residential, commercial, and high-rise buildings.
  • Prepare design calculations, structural models, drawings, and technical reports in compliance with UAE and international codes.
  • Ensure all designs comply with UAE Government regulations, including Dubai Municipality / Abu Dhabi Municipality requirements and ESMA / Dubai Building Code.
  • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of structural systems.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, and as-built drawings to ensure compliance with approved designs.
  • Conduct site inspections and structural assessments during construction as required.
  • Provide technical support during tendering and construction stages.
  • Ensure safety, serviceability, and durability of all structural designs as per local and international best practices.
  • Liaise with municipal authorities for design approvals and submissions.
  • Stay updated with changes in UAE building regulations and standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in structural design (consultant or design office background preferred).
  • Proven experience in designing RC and steel structures for multi-story and high-rise buildings.
  • Strong understanding of UAE Building Codes, ESMA TR 100:2017, Dubai Building Code, and relevant municipality submission requirements.
  • Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and Revit (Structural).
  • Knowledge of ACI, BS, Eurocode, and ASCE 7 standards.
  • Experience in foundation design, wind and seismic load analysis, and serviceability checks.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
  • UAE Society of Engineers membership is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Dubai Municipality (DM), Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM), and Trakhees approval procedures is preferred.
