Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Oversee and manage all civil construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to ADNOC standards and project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of ongoing work, proactively identifying and resolving any potential issues related to quality, safety, or schedule.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with the project plan and ADNOC requirements, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and maintain detailed daily progress reports, documenting work completed, resources utilized, and any challenges encountered.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and environmental guidelines, promoting a safe working environment at all times.
- Review and approve method statements and risk assessments submitted by contractors, verifying their compliance with ADNOC standards.
- Manage the ordering and allocation of construction materials, ensuring timely delivery and proper storage to avoid delays.
- Supervise and mentor a team of civil engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates on progress, addressing concerns, and collaborating on solutions.
- Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate implementation of the design.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to monitor progress and identify any issues that may arise.
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure they align with construction methods and materials being used.
- Implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship and materials.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of construction activities, including daily reports and progress updates.
- Facilitate effective communication between project managers, clients, and site workers to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Train and mentor site workers, promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and professional development.
- Manage equipment and material procurement, ensuring resources are available when needed to prevent project delays.
- Address and resolve any on-site conflicts or challenges promptly, maintaining project momentum and team morale.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred, demonstrating foundational knowledge in construction principles.
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation for technical understanding.
- Holds ADNOC approval, demonstrating the required qualifications and experience to work on ADNOC projects.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil construction projects, showcasing a proven track record of success.
- Demonstrates experience in Oil & Gas projects, providing a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate implementation of designs.
- Strong knowledge of relevant construction codes and standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively, ensuring projects are completed on schedule.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach, taking initiative to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, displaying resilience and a commitment to achieving project goals.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in civil construction supervision, showcasing proven leadership and project management abilities.
- Relevant certifications, such as OSHA safety certification or PMP, are highly desirable to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Experience with large-scale construction projects, particularly in infrastructure development, enhances candidate suitability.
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools, enabling efficient project tracking and reporting.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations to ensure compliance.
- Effective communication skills in English, with proficiency in additional languages being a significant advantage for diverse teams.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, demonstrating resilience and commitment to on-site safety.
