Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) – PICU/NICU is responsible for providing advanced clinical expertise, leadership support, and resource coordination within the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units. The role focuses on ensuring high standards of patient care, supporting bedside nurses, facilitating clinical best practices, and promoting safe, evidence-based care for critically ill neonates and children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical support and guidance to PICU/NICU nursing staff during complex or high-acuity patient care.
- Act as a clinical mentor and resource person for nursing staff, supporting skill development and competency maintenance.
- Assist in coordinating patient care, staffing, and resource allocation within the unit to ensure continuity and safety.
- Support adherence to clinical protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety initiatives.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and policy implementation related to PICU/NICU care.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Respond to emergencies and provide hands-on support during critical situations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – mandatory.
- Valid nursing license (DHA / DOH / MOH or equivalent, as applicable).
- Specialized training and minimum 3–5 years of recent clinical experience in PICU and/or NICU.
- Certification in BLS, PALS, and NRP.
- Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and communication skills.
