Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary We are seeking a qualified and compassionate strong>Clinical Psychologist with perinatal experience/strong> to provide psychological support to mothers, fathers, and families during the preconception, pregnancy, and postnatal periods. The role focuses on supporting the expat community in Dubai, delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions for perinatal mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment difficulties.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological assessment, counseling, and therapy for perinatal mental health issues, including:
    • Antenatal and postnatal depression and anxiety/li>
    • Perinatal trauma, miscarriage, and pregnancy loss/li>
    • Adjustment difficulties and relationship support/li>
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions such as CBT, mindfulness, and supportive therapy, in individual or group settings/li>
  • Support expat families navigating cultural, social, and relocation-related stressors/li>
  • Conduct therapy sessions in person and via telehealth platforms as required/li>
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, neonatologists, pediatricians, and other allied health professionals/li>
  • Develop psychoeducation resources and programs for patients and healthcare teams/li>
  • Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation according to hospital policies and regulatory standards/li>
  • Stay updated on best practices, research, and training in perinatal psychology/li>

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Master s or Doctorate in strong>Clinical Psychology/strong> from a recognized institution/li>
  • Valid license or eligibility to practice in Dubai (DHA or equivalent)/li>
  • Minimum strong>3 5 years of clinical experience/strong>, with direct exposure to strong>perinatal mental health/strong> /li>
  • Fluency in strong>English/strong> is mandatory; additional languages are a plus/li>
  • Experience working with expat populations is highly preferred/li>
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong therapeutic and assessment skills in perinatal psychology/li>
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills/li>
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of the expat community/li>
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team/li>
  • High professional ethics, confidentiality, and patient-centered approach/li>
