Role Summary
The Coastal Engineer Dubai, UAE will join Parsons Corporation s marine engineering team to design and oversee coastal protection, dredging, reclamation, and marine infrastructure projects. The role involves developing engineering solutions for revetments, breakwaters, seawater intakes, man-made islands, and other coastal structures. The position requires strong technical expertise in hydrodynamic modeling, coastal design, and inspection of marine assets, with opportunities to contribute to high-profile projects across Dubai and the GCC.

What You ll Do
* Design coastal protection works including revetments, breakwaters, groynes, and scour protection
* Develop engineering solutions for beaches, seawater intake/outfall structures, and marinas
* Contribute to the design of man-made islands, dredging, and land reclamation projects
* Prepare specifications for bathymetric surveys and marine geotechnical investigations
* Inspect and assess the structural condition of existing coastal and marine infrastructure
* Oversee and coordinate with sub-consultants using advanced hydrodynamic modeling software (e.g., Mike21 suite)
* Ensure compliance with international and regional marine engineering codes and standards
* Prepare reports, drawings, technical specifications, and presentations for clients and stakeholders
* Stay up to date with latest technologies and practices by engaging with professional societies
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor s degree in Civil or Coastal Engineering (Master s preferred)
* At least 5 years of professional experience in marine and coastal engineering design
* Proficiency in marine design software and hydrodynamic modeling tools
* Strong track record preparing marine engineering reports, drawings, and technical specifications
* Excellent English communication and technical writing skills
* Familiarity with UAE or GCC marine engineering projects preferred
* Knowledge of coastal design standards and environmental compliance regulations
