Roles & Responsibilities

Synopsis

Commercial Steering is the team that bridges Sales and E-Commerce, Digital, Marketing, Loyalty (EDML) to Revenue Management and to the commercial division.

As a Commercial Steering Officer, you will have a pivotal role in developing & owning commercial objectives and country commercial plans, coordinating with Network Revenue Optimization, Sales & EDML to ensure implementation of revenue maximizing strategies, acting as a focal point of contact and coordinating the open for Sales related activities for new routes launch ensuring their success and leading, creating and coordinating end to end process involving Sales, EDML and Revenue Management.

Accountabilities
  • Build & Own CCPs (Country commercial plans). Review performance with RM, Sales & EDML at the designated forums and provide recommendations to keep stakeholders on track with the CCPs.
  • Develop annual commercial objectives, build targets for these in co-ordination with other units in Commercial Strategy and communicate these across the revenue division
  • Be the focal point of contact for all Open for Sale (OFS) related activities for new routes & frequencies
  • Collaborate with NRO in ensuring optimization strategies are implemented and measured.
  • Tracking the commercial performance of implemented strategies by Sales & EDML
  • Conduct analysis on travel programs with Sales and provide insights on performance. Review leakage on programs and recommend process changes to address the same.
  • Co-ordinate closely with Sales and EDML in implementing all revenue recovery strategies.
  • Ensure all publication plans are communicated across the division and all teams are in readiness to support ad-hoc and planned publications.
  • Supporting and maintaining the creation of the division s scorecard at the executive level, the performance of implemented strategies by Sales & EDML, the weekly meetings with the division s executives and any other requirements by the leadership team
  • Leading, Creating and coordinating end to end process involving Sales, EDML & Revenue Management
Education & Experience
  • 4 years relevant work experience, and a degree in business, economics or engineering preferred
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Problem solving skills
  • Communication, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Airline experience is a plus
  • Stakeholders management experience is a plus
  • Project management experience is a plus
