Commis I - Female YOSH HOSPITALITY LLC OPC

We are seeking a reliable and motivated kitchen team member to join the hot kitchen as a Commis I.

Key Responsibilities:• Assist with mise en place, portioning and basic food preparation according to recipes and chef instructions.• Perform basic cooking tasks on hot kitchen equipment (e.g., frying, sautéing, grilling) under supervision.• Plate and finish dishes to the required standard and assist with garnishing and presentation.

Kitchen Operations & Hygiene• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and personal hygiene at all times.• Follow correct food storage, rotation (FIFO) and temperature-control procedures.• Clean and sanitise workstations, equipment and utensils after use and at end of service.

Stock & Basic Kitchen Duties• Assist with receiving and checking deliveries, storing items correctly and labelling where required.• Monitor basic ingredient levels and communicate reorder requirements.• Perform general kitchen tasks such as peeling, chopping, weighing and basic prep work as directed.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Essential• Minimum 1 year’s experience in a professional kitchen or culinary training (apprenticeship or vocational course preferred).• Basic knowledge of hot kitchen operations and cooking techniques.• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (certificate desirable).• Good command of English and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.• Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible hours including early starts, evenings and weekends as required.

Desirable• Experience in private property, fine dining or hotel kitchens.• Any relevant food hygiene, food handling or culinary qualifications.• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to perform under pressure.
