Roles & Responsibilities

Role Summary

· This position reports to Project Director/ Focal Point and is responsible for the implementation of the schedule, physical commissioning and preparing for Handover of all systems.

· Leads development of the strategies, execution plan and procedures that are aligned with Start-Up strategies.

· Coordinates/supervises the activities of the Commissioning Discipline Engineers

· Is responsible for coordinating and executing activities required by the Plan.

· Ensures alignment with Project Engineering, Construction, Quality, Procurement and Start-Up/Operations.

· Manages interfaces between Client Project teams and Commissioning team to facilitate successful commissioning and handover.

· Coordinates and interfaces with Client Project Team, Start-Up Team, and Operations to ensure Commissioning and Start-Up teams.

· Collaborates with Client Start-Up Co-ordinator to ensure a safe and effective execution of activities and to ensure all contract requirements are met.

· Monitors static and dynamic commissioning activities, assists in resolution of related issues to ensure satisfactory quality is attained.

· Assists in the seamless transition of the facilities from Project to Operations

· Identifies and manages discipline commissioning resource needs, tools, test equipment, plant, spares etc.

· Assures required outcome of static and dynamic commissioning performed by core teams and vendors including at SIT’s and SAT’s.

· Review and supports the development of commissioning plans and schedules, level 3 and level 5, with discipline specific input.

· Ensure the right resource levels and technical skills are assigned to meet each system schedule and commissioning execution requirements.

· Manages execution discipline engineers


Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:

o Minimum 15 years of experience in commissioning, with at least 10 years in Chlor Alkali, EDC, VCM and PVC Plant or Polymers projects.

o Proven track record in managing commissioning activities for complex projects.

Skills:

o Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.

o Proficient in project management tools and software.

Certifications (Preferred):

o PMP, Commissioning Management Certification, or equivalent. o HSE certifications such as NEBOSH or OSHA.
