Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to predict price movements in commodity markets, enabling proactive trading strategies.
- Execute trades in physical and derivative commodity markets (futures, options, swaps) to achieve profit targets, optimizing trade execution for best prices.
- Manage and monitor open positions, assessing risk exposure and implementing hedging strategies to mitigate potential losses.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, exchanges, and other market participants to gather market intelligence and facilitate trade execution.
- Conduct fundamental and technical analysis of commodity markets to identify trading opportunities and assess risk-reward profiles.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and compliance requirements related to commodity trading, ensuring all trading activities adhere to legal standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on trading activities, market analysis, and portfolio performance for senior management.
- Collaborate with risk management, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless trade execution and compliance.
- Develop and implement trading strategies based on market analysis and risk assessment, adapting to changing market conditions.
- Negotiate contracts and manage logistics for physical commodity trading, ensuring efficient delivery and storage.

Boasts 3-5 years of experience in commodity trading, with a proven track record of profitable trading strategies.
Demonstrates experience in a specific commodity market sector (e.g., energy, metals, agriculture), showcasing specialized expertise.
Exhibits strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling.
Possesses excellent communication and negotiation skills, essential for building relationships and executing trades.
Demonstrates a deep understanding of risk management principles and the ability to manage and mitigate trading risks effectively.
Displays a proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to thrive under pressure and make quick decisions.
Exhibits proficiency in using trading platforms, market data terminals (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv), and other relevant software.
