Common Service Assistant
Starting salary SAR 89,510 SAR gross per annum plus 13th month bonus, transportation and housing allowances
This position is a LES (Locally Engaged Staff) position, subject to the Terms and Conditions of Employment for LES in Saudi Arabia.

Summary of position:
Under the general supervision of the Management Consular Officer at Embassy of Canada in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Common Services Assistants will provide daily financial, HR and logistic and administrative support to all mission programs. The Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to: processing and filing payments, recovery and revenues; coordinating the tax refund process for the Mission and its diplomats; preparing payroll, as well as preparing and maintaining HR documentation, providing advice and support to internal clients regarding mission financial and HR procedures, managing the transportation service; and performing other duties as required.
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications.
Post-secondary diploma / Bachelor s degree in a relevant field (e.g. finance, accounting, economy, business administration, HR administration, payroll, etc.); or
an acceptable combination of education, training and experience at least 3 years recent* experience in a finance, accounting, administration or HR department
Fluency in English (both oral and written)
Minimum 2 years recent* experience working in an office environment in an administrative support capacity (in a finance, accounting, administration or HR department).
*Recent is defined as within the past five years.
The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices;
Strong financial acumen and attention to detail;
Ability to provide excellent service to clients;
Honesty, discretion and integrity.
Effective interactive communication oral and written;
Ability to plan and organize workflow;
Ability to search for information and to prepare and monitor financial and HR data;
Ability to work independently as well as in team environment;

Flexibility and adaptability.
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV.
Fluency in Arabic (oral and written);
Knowledge of French (oral and written)
Experience in HR administration and payroll preparation;
Experience of supervision of staff
Experience working for a diplomatic mission or an international organization
If candidates meet the factors listed in the asset qualifications they must also clearly demonstrate how they meet these factors in their covering letter.
Ability to work regular overtime (evenings and weekends)
Annual leave during the summer period may be restricted due to operational needs
Condition(s) of Employment:
Valid passport and Saudi residency permit (Iqama)
Must be a legal resident of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and eligible to work therein
Iqama transfer required
Obtain and retain an enhanced reliability clearance (security clearance)
Successful completion of a one (1) year probation period
Successful candidates must pass a routine medical examination
