Supporting the implementation of an effective compliance program across the EGA Group, assisting the Compliance Manager and General Counsel Legal & Compliance. You will promote and monitor compliance with relevant legal and internal rules, and international industry and ethical standards. You will provide guidance to employees on ethics and compliance, and identify and address risks.


• Develop good understanding of our Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
• Prepare, arrange and deliver regular training and awareness on our Code of Conduct, specific compliance issues and risks, and ethics and values
• Manage the Conflicts of Interest and Gifts & Entertainment procedures
• Address employee questions and concerns on compliance and ethics
• Develop good relationships with other teams across the company
• Investigate reports of non-compliance, conducting interviews and documenting findings
• Conduct due diligence assessments on business partners using available software solutions, analysing results to identify, assess and advise on relevant risks
• Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
• Collate data on training, declarations, investigations etc.
• Keep abreast of best practice compliance standards and developments
• Maintain appropriate awareness of applicable laws, including anti-corruption and trade

Desired Candidate Profile


• Experience (2 plus years) as a compliance officer (preferably in a large manufacturing company with a developed compliance program) or with transferable skills and experience from another field (such as law, HR etc.)
• BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or a related field (a legal background is not essential, but must demonstrate understanding of key laws and issues)
• Languages: excellent spoken and written English is essential; Arabic is desirable; French a plus
• Strong communication skills, combining diplomacy and resolve
• Be someone who is not afraid to speak up and ask hard questions.
• Experience of delivering training and public speaking
• Good attention to accurate detail, research skills and analysis
• Effective planning, organising and time management
• Ability to work and co-ordinate with other teams across the company, in our overseas offices and external service providers
• Computer skills: MS PowerPoint, Exxcel, Publisher and intuitive ability to use software
• Leading Professional in Ethics & Compliance (LPEC) or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) is a plus
