Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day compliance and regulatory requirements under VARA framework.
  • Ensure the firm s policies, procedures, and controls meet applicable laws and industry best practices.
  • Manage KYC/AML processes, transaction monitoring, and reporting obligations.
  • Liaise with regulators, auditors, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Provide compliance training and guidance across business functions.
  • Support senior management with governance, risk management, and regulatory projects.

Requirements:

  • 5 8 years experience in compliance, with at least 2+ years in crypto / virtual assets / fintech.
  • Strong working knowledge of VARA regulations and UAE regulatory landscape.
  • Experience working in or with a licensed VASP.
  • Track record of handling AML/CTF, sanctions, and regulatory reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership potential.
  • Ambition to step up into a Chief Compliance Officer role in the near future.
