Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough on-site concrete scanning using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and other specialized equipment to locate embedded objects and structural elements.
- Analyze collected data and generate accurate reports detailing findings, including the location, depth, and size of rebar, conduits, and other embedded items.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to understand project requirements and integrate scanning results into project plans.
- Calibrate and maintain scanning equipment, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy of data collection.
- Interpret complex data sets, identifying potential structural risks and providing recommendations for mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed site maps and drawings illustrating the location of embedded objects and any potential hazards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements in concrete scanning technology and techniques through continuous learning.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of scanning results and answering any questions they may have.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring timely completion of scanning projects within budget and scope.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in concrete scanning, showcasing practical expertise.
- Experience working in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction practices and terminology.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using GPR equipment and data analysis software, ensuring accurate results.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify potential issues.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Show a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy, ensuring the reliability of scanning results.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exhibit physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, ensuring project completion.
