Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of infrastructure construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, budget, and schedule.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, including subcontractors, engineers, and other stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, procurement strategies, and risk management protocols, to optimize project outcomes.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and project requirements.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and forecast costs, identifying and mitigating potential financial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions while maintaining strong working relationships.
- Resolve conflicts and address issues that arise during construction, providing timely and effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Prepare and submit project reports, including progress updates, cost summaries, and change orders, to keep stakeholders informed of project status.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and permitting requirements, minimizing the environmental impact of construction activities.
- Champion a culture of safety, promoting safe work practices and actively participating in safety training and incident investigations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in infrastructure principles.
- Holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification, demonstrating a commitment to professional standards and expertise.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in infrastructure construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of various infrastructure types, including roads, bridges, utilities, and public transportation systems.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and other relevant construction technologies.
- Exhibits strong leadership and communication skills, capable of effectively managing diverse teams and interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Possesses a thorough understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and legal requirements, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
- Demonstrates excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
- Exhibits strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage project budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability.
- Demonstrates a commitment to safety, with a proven ability to implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
