Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of utilities and infrastructure projects under EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contracts. The role involves coordinating all site construction activities, ensuring project milestones are achieved safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with quality and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day construction operations for utilities and infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to approved schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Supervise and direct the work of project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Review and monitor project plans, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with EPC contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and QA/QC teams to ensure timely material delivery and site readiness.
- Oversee all phases of construction activities, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and statutory regulations, conducting regular site safety audits and toolbox meetings.
- Monitor progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and client review.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, delays, and cost impacts.
- Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure the proper documentation of work activities, inspections, and project handover requirements.
- Support commissioning and handover processes in coordination with QA/QC and project control teams.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- 8–12 years of relevant UAE experience in EPC construction, preferably in utilities, water transmission, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of EPC contracts, project execution methodologies, and site coordination.
- Knowledge of Transco / ADDC / ADSSC or other utility authority requirements preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project or Primavera) and MS Office applications.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and timely project delivery.
- UAE Driving License preferred.
