Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to streamline project execution and address any design discrepancies promptly.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and enforce safety regulations to minimize workplace hazards.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, resources, and milestones, adjusting strategies as necessary to adapt to changing conditions.
  • Manage procurement processes for materials and equipment, negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms and ensure timely delivery.
  • Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing concerns as they arise.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure work is completed to specifications and meets industry standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, budgets, and change orders for transparency and accountability.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, promoting a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the construction process.
  • Evaluate project performance post-completion to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement for future projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is essential for foundational knowledge.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in construction management, in which 5 years as Contruction Manager, showcasing expertise in managing complex projects.
  • Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) are highly desirable for professional credibility.
  • Experience with commercial,residential & high rise building projects is preferred, demonstrating versatility across different types of construction.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards to ensure compliance throughout the project.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing diverse teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities to navigate unforeseen challenges and devise effective solutions swiftly.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language proficiency is a plus for working in multicultural environments.
  • Physical ability to navigate construction sites and perform site inspections, demonstrating a hands-on approach to management.
