Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform complex cardiac surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve replacements, and congenital heart defect repairs, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, review of medical history, and interpretation of diagnostic tests to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients, ensuring their smooth recovery and addressing any complications.
  • Participate in on-call duties to provide emergency cardiac surgical services, demonstrating a commitment to patient care around the clock.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in cardiac surgical techniques and technologies through continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to research and academic activities, including publishing articles and presenting at conferences, to advance the field of cardiac surgery.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior surgeons, residents, and medical students, fostering the next generation of cardiac specialists.
  • Maintain meticulous medical records and adhere to all relevant ethical and legal guidelines, ensuring patient confidentiality and safety.
  • Effectively communicate with patients and their families, providing clear explanations of surgical procedures, risks, and expected outcomes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and a specialization in cardiac surgery.
  • Holds certifications from recognized medical boards or colleges in cardiac surgery.
