Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques such as echocardiography and cardiac MRI to identify complex cardiac conditions.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, focusing on both medical and interventional cardiology to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in the management of heart failure, ensuring coordinated care for patients with complex needs.
  • Perform catheter-based procedures such as angioplasty and stent placements, demonstrating proficiency in the latest technologies and techniques.
  • Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications to enhance long-term outcomes.
  • Engage in clinical research and trials, contributing to the advancement of cardiology practices and the development of new therapies.
  • Provide expert consultations for complex cases referred by general practitioners and other specialists, leveraging deep clinical knowledge.
  • Participate in continuous professional development, attending workshops and courses to stay updated on advancements in cardiology.
  • Mentor junior cardiologists and medical students, sharing expertise to foster the next generation of cardiovascular specialists.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with medical regulations and standards for quality care.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • MD or equivalent degree with specialization in Cardiology from a recognized institution, ensuring a strong foundational knowledge of heart health.
  • Board certification in Cardiology, demonstrating adherence to professional standards and expertise in the field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in cardiology, showcasing a proven track record of managing diverse cardiac conditions.
  • Preferably a candidate with experience in a tertiary care setting, which enhances exposure to complex cases and advanced treatment options.
  • Fluency in English and the local language, facilitating effective communication with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong technical skills in performing invasive procedures and interpreting advanced cardiac imaging, essential for modern cardiology practice.
