Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering radiation therapy, managing cancer patients across different stages, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary oncology teams.
Key Responsibilities Radiation Oncology
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients requiring radiation therapy for malignant and selected benign conditions
- Develop individualized radiation treatment plans using advanced planning systems (e.g., IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS)
- Deliver precise and safe radiation therapy in accordance with international clinical protocols
- Collaborate with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists in multidisciplinary tumor boards
- Monitor patient response to treatment and manage radiation-related side effects and complications
- Provide comprehensive patient consultations, including discussion of treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes
- Ensure accurate contouring of target volumes and organs at risk using imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, and PET
- Supervise and coordinate with radiation therapists, medical physicists, and dosimetrists
- Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure safety and accuracy of radiation delivery
- Maintain detailed clinical documentation and electronic medical records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations
- Engage in clinical audits, research activities, and quality improvement initiatives within the oncology department
- Provide palliative radiation therapy and supportive care to improve quality of life in advanced cancer patients
Desired Candidate Profile

American Board of Radiology (Radiation Oncology)
UK CCT / FRCR (Clinical Oncology)
European Board Certification in Radiation Oncology
Royal College Certification (Canada)
Australian Fellowship (RANZCR Radiation Oncology)
Arab Board of Radiation Oncology
Or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing.
