SHARE JOB This is a key position for the project. We require an outstanding and dynamic person who can take on the challenges of being a team member in a busy and stimulating environment with a dedicated team. The primary role of the Contract Manager is to support the delivery of the Al Dur Phase 2 project in accordance with the Project Agreements (EPC, O&M, Power & Water Purchase Agreement -PWPA-, Gas Supply Agreement) and ensuring Haya Power is protected from any claims by other parties. This will include ensuring all notice periods are observed, appropriate documentation is submitted in a timely manner and the relevant approvals are received. Experience large-scale utility or infrastructure EPC projects is essential. Key Accountabilities: • Be fully aware of Power Purchase Agreement, EPC Contract, Natural Gas Sales Agreement, O&M Agreement and various Project Agreements and manage the stakeholders effectively in line with the contracts • Identify key dates within the contracts where submissions are required in order to avoid delays to project milestones and proactively manage these events • Work with CFO and Planning/Scheduling Manager to review claims from EPC for milestone payments and ensure compliance, so that Lender approval can be sought • Track non-conformances from the Owner’s Technical Specification (OTS), ensuring these are documented and communicated to EPC for appropriate action • Support the Project Director in developing and managing the Project Change Procedure and its logging system and ensuring the correct approvals are received • Coordinate with EPC Contractor, as appropriate, to support the process for vendor approval, shipment of materials via land, sea or air, etc. • Support Project Director and Planning/Scheduling Manager in monitoring of EPC procurement process, ensuring corrective action is taken quickly in the event of any schedule impacts • Work with Documents Controller to build records where delays have occurred and potential claims for increased costs/extension of time exist • Support the drafting of the PC letters and notices to the EPC contractor, Lender, O&M Contractor and Buyer in support of any action required to enable the project to progress as per the agreed schedule • Liaise with insurers for notification of significant shipments and in the event of any claims for loss and/or damage under any of the insurances in place during the project construction • Support Planning/Scheduling Manager to review Monthly Progress Reports and regular meeting MoM Company Industry Power Generation / Power Distribution / Energy / Nuclear Energy Department/Functional Area Site Engineering / Projects Desired Candidate Profile This is a complex position which requires leadership, as well as team-spirit, a high degree of professionalism, advanced communication, planning, personality and other skills as outlined in the person description, in order to achieve successful outcomes.
