Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to strengthen its commercial and contractual management capability across major infrastructure and industrial projects. The role is central to the project lifecycle and is responsible for safeguarding contractual compliance, managing commercial risk, enhancing project profitability, and supporting senior management with accurate reporting and strategic advice. The Contract Manager will work closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal centers of expertise within Bouygues Construction.
Contract & Commercial Management
Negotiate, prepare, and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
Review contractual terms to ensure alignment with project objectives, legal requirements, and company policies.
Manage change orders, variations, claims, and contractual correspondence proactively to minimize project disruptions.
Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and applicable laws and regulations.
Risk, Claims & Dispute Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks and opportunities.
Manage and resolve contractual disputes efficiently, including negotiation, mediation, and coordination with legal counsel when required.
Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of all contractual matters.
Financial & Reporting Responsibilities
Support project budgets, cost control, invoicing, claims, and payment tracking.
Prepare and present regular reports on contract performance, financial exposure, and risk status to senior management and stakeholders.
Contribute to value engineering and commercial strategies to enhance project profitability.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
Act as a key contractual interface with project managers, engineers, finance teams, and senior stakeholders.
Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure clear understanding of contractual obligations.
Maintain regular interaction with Bouygues Construction internal centers of expertise and group functions.
Governance, Safety & Ethics
Ensure full compliance with Company Health & Safety policies and safe working practices.
Act in accordance with VSL and Bouygues Construction core values, including Safety, Sustainability, Ethics, and Human Rights.
Serve as an ambassador of Group policies and professional standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in Contract Management within construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, commercial management, claims, and local regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in contract negotiation, risk management, and dispute resolution.
Experience working on large-scale or complex projects in the Middle East is a strong advantage.
Industry qualifications with recognized professional bodies (e.g. RICS or equivalent) are preferred.
