Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Control System Knowledge

  • PLC systems (Siemens, ABB, Rockwell, Schneider, Honeywell)

  • IEC / ISA standards

  • Hazardous area basics (ATEX / IECEx)

  • SIL basics (Safety Integrity Level)

  • Process control system (PCS)

  • Emergency Shutdown System (ESD)

  • Fire & Gas System (FGS)

  • Remote IO (RIO)

  • Basic knowledge of safety PLCs

  • Understanding of PLC & DCS architecture

  • System design concepts (redundancy, fail-safe design)

  • Client standards (ADNOC, BGC, Wood, Total, SLB, Aramco – optional but strong advantage)

Communication Protocols

  • Modbus (RTU/TCP)

  • Profibus / Profinet

  • Ethernet/IP

  • OPC communication

  • Network architecture basics


Desired Candidate Profile

Field Instrumentation Knowledge

  • Sensors: Pressure, Temperature, Flow, Level

  • Signal types: 4–20 mA, HART, Modbus, Profibus

  • Control valves, actuators, transmitters

Software Knowledge

  • AUTOCAD

  • E-plan ( Electric P8+ pro Panel)

Documentation & Deliverables

  • GA (General Arrangement)

  • BOQ / BOM preparation

  • System architecture

  • Schematic diagrams

  • Load & heat dissipating

  • Interconnection drawings

  • Loop diagrams

  • Cable schedule
