Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide expert diagnostic interpretations of complex pathology cases, including microscopic examination and ancillary testing, to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues from various specialties, offering insights and guidance on patient management and treatment strategies based on pathological findings.
  • Oversee and maintain the quality assurance and quality control programs within the pathology laboratory, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical conferences, presenting pathology findings and contributing to comprehensive patient care plans.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree and board certification in Anatomic Pathology or Clinical Pathology.
  • Hold a valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing pathologist, with expertise in a subspecialty such as hematopathology, gastrointestinal pathology, or dermatopathology.
  • Proven experience in a high-volume diagnostic laboratory setting, with a strong understanding of laboratory operations and quality control.
