Human Resources Coordinator

Hotel Overview:
Fairmont The Palm is a luxury, world-class resort located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai. The hotel features 381 guest rooms and suites with dedicated Fairmont Gold rooms and lounge. A total of seven food and beverage outlets on property offer international dining options including Chinese and Indian cuisine and a Brazilian churrasco experience. Fairmont The Palm also features an expansive pool and beach area with a health club, Willow Stream Spa and the Fairmont Falcons Juniors Club.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Human Resources, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Timely processing of vacation forms and submission to finance department for colleagues availing an advance vacation salary.
• Handling letter requests from colleagues within the stipulated time frame.
• Assisting colleagues with their queries
• Attending all telephone calls and in-person visitors and scheduling appointments as required.
• Maintaining confidential filling system for correspondence, policies, standards, regulations and various matters related to the office
• Conducting colleague onboarding and exit formalities including conducting the exit interviews and compilation of data.
• Updating leavers list on a weekly basis and cascading the details to the departments concerned.
• Processing bank applications for new colleagues upon joining.
• Updating and maintaining trackers on a weekly basis.
• Issuing lockers to new colleagues and maintaining up to date record.
• Preparing and circulating monthly birthday calendar and birthday cards.
• Assist in the day-to-day operation of the Human Resource department
• Assist with recruitment activities
• Assist with colleague events
• Organizing monthly treat days
• Follow departmental policies and procedures
• Follow all safety policies
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:
• Previous administration or human resources experience required
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
• University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
• Frequent sitting and walking throughout shift
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
