Position: Manager Finance & Accounts (Corporate)

Job Location: Dubai, UAE

Brief Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise and schedules the activities of monthly financial close related to cost and manufacturing accounting.
• Manages staff responsible for preparing journal entries, financial reports, audit schedules, and tax schedules. Manages the analysis of account balances and advises management of reasons for unusual trends, variances, or other issues
• Assists Supply Chain management in the decision-making process by developing reports that analyze and present actionable financial information. Leads monthly meeting with Manufacturing Operations to present data related to the analysis of material loss, bill of material variances, cost savings, and work order problems.
• Independently determines the most appropriate means to handle unusual accounting circumstances that fall outside of normal working parameters. Responsible for working with the Company’s internal and external auditors to provide information and reports as requested and to explain complex accounting concepts.
• Works with various departments to develop and implement internal controls for the Corporate ERP system including financial integrity reporting, system upgrades, and system implementations.
• Oversees the validation of data integrity for standard costs and related data in the accounting system and ensures that updates are made accurately and timely.
• Responsible for working with various groups to identify gaps and discrepancies and to recommend core database changes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Proactively identifies changes in accounting regulations that will impact the Company. Suggests changes to Company accounting policies and procedures to ensure internal & external compliance.
• Continuously assesses internal processes and recommends changes that would allow greater efficiency in monthly processing.
• Train, motivate, evaluate & counsel assigned staff as well as conduct reviews with employees to assess staff development needs and ensures appropriate training and development. Guides staff to prioritize tasks to achieve group objectives


Accounts / Taxation / Audit / Company Secretary

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from India
• A minimum of 6-8 years of supervisory experience in a mid/senior level Accounting position. Candidates with experience in a manufacturing or retail companies are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
• Advanced understanding of integrated Accounting ERP systems and the relationship of Finance data and processes to other areas in the Company.
• With special aptitude and Skills for Systems, Procedures and Controls
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with individuals at various levels within the organization.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to successfully manage multiple priorities and the expectations of multiple business partners.
