Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our Accounts Department and provide comprehensive costing and financial analysis support across the manufacturing and commercial operations for consumer durable products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update standard and actual costing for all manufactured products.
  • Monitor and analyze material, labour, and overhead variances to ensure accurate cost control.
  • Review production reports, validate raw material consumption, and track scrap/wastage.
  • Conduct cost simulations for new products, changes in design, and commercial requirements.
  • Reconcile raw materials, WIP, and finished goods with ERP records to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Support inventory valuation, month-end closing, and annual budgeting/forecasting.
  • Provide the Sales and Commercial teams with cost-based pricing, margin analysis, and profitability insights.
  • Support costing for tenders, quotations, special orders, and high-volume deals.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Stores, Procurement, QA/QC, and Sales to ensure operational and financial accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and ERP procedures (INFOR LN or similar).

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3–6 years of costing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably consumer durables.
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, BOM structures, and cost allocations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (INFOR LN, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
