Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
  • Track and analyze project expenditures and ensure costs remain within the approved budget.
  • Review and evaluate variations, change orders, and claims.
  • Develop and maintain cost databases and reports for management review.
  • Support project teams in cost estimation, tendering, and financial planning.
  • Coordinate with procurement, planning, and finance teams to validate commitments and expenditures.
  • Generate monthly cost control reports, variance analyses, and performance indicators.
  • Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company cost control procedures and project accounting standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

We are looking for a skilled Cost Control Engineer with a strong background in civil building construction and proven experience working with main contracting companies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs, ensuring that budgets are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5–10 years of GCC experience as a Cost Control Engineer in civil building construction projects.
  • Mandatory experience working with main contracting companies.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and Primavera / MS Project.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
