Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Title: Cost Control Engineer

Location: United Arab Emirates (UAE) – Candidates currently based in UAE is preferred
Industry: Construction – Roads & Infrastructure Works
Experience Required: 8–10 Years (Minimum 5 years in Roads & Bridge Projects)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is a MUST

Experience using Candy software is highly preferred.

Experience working on one of RTA projects highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates of project quantities and costs.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets in alignment with project scope and timelines.
  • Conduct cost estimation, control allowable costs, and perform variance analysis.
  • Track and report the Forecast at Completion (FAC) for ongoing projects.
  • Prepare and review Client and Sub-contractor Payment Certificates.
  • Evaluate and prepare variation orders and rate analysis.
  • Support project planning teams with budget and cost-related inputs.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement and contracts departments for cost-related evaluations.

Software Proficiency:

  • MS Office Suite – Mandatory
  • AutoCAD – Mandatory
  • Candy or any equivalent estimation software – Mandatory
  • Planswift – Preferable
  • BuildSmart or any other ERP software – Preferable

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Sound knowledge of road and bridge construction methodologies and costing principles
