Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cost control procedures that align with organizational goals, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies, providing actionable insights to stakeholders on cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with project managers to establish budgets and monitor expenditures, ensuring projects remain within financial parameters.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts to communicate financial status and projections to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze historical data to inform future projects, leveraging lessons learned to enhance budgeting accuracy and cost efficiency.
  • Facilitate training sessions for team members on cost control methodologies, fostering a culture of financial accountability.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact project costs, advising management on necessary adjustments.
  • Support the strategic planning process by providing financial insights and recommendations based on comprehensive cost analysis.
  • Utilize advanced software tools for cost estimation and analysis, ensuring data integrity and facilitating quick decision-making.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Certified Cost Professional (CCP) from AACE.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in cost control, preferably within the construction industry in oil and gas sector in ARAMCO Projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budget management and financial forecasting, with a strong track record of cost reduction.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms, is essential.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages, especially Spanish or Mandarin, are a plus in multinational environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to present findings to diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to identifying potential cost overruns before they occur.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage cross-functional relationships to drive cost-saving initiatives.
