Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Crane Operator will operate various types of cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials safely and efficiently on construction or industrial sites. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, proper maintenance of equipment, and coordination with site teams to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate mobile, tower, or overhead cranes safely to lift, transport, and place materials according to project requirements.
  • Read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and site plans to determine proper lifting procedures.
  • Conduct daily inspections of crane equipment, including cables, hoists, brakes, and safety devices.
  • Coordinate with signal persons, riggers, and ground staff to ensure precise load handling.
  • Follow all safety regulations, operational procedures, and site-specific protocols.
  • Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to maintenance teams promptly.
  • Assist in rigging operations and secure loads for safe movement.
  • Maintain accurate records of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.

  • Understanding of load limits, rigging, and slinging techniques.
