Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for credit card processing platforms, including authorization, settlement, and chargeback systems.
  • Configure and maintain card management systems (CMS), core banking integrations, and third-party APIs.
  • Investigate and resolve system-related issues, transaction failures, and data discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with vendors, networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), and internal stakeholders during system upgrades or incidents.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring technical problems and implement preventive solutions.
  • Develop and execute test cases for new features, patches, and enhancements in card platforms.
  • Support EMV, contactless, and virtual card implementations.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO 8583 message formats, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Document technical processes, configuration settings, and support knowledge base articles.
  • Monitor transaction flows and generate performance reports or alerts for anomalies.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required)

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in technical support or system administration for credit card platforms or payments systems.
  • Experience with card switches (e.g., Base24, FIS, TSYS, Fiserv), card issuing platforms, or CMS software.
  • Familiarity with payment network protocols (e.g., ISO 8583, XML/JSON APIs, SOAP).

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL, scripting (Python, Bash), or other query/reporting tools.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, etc.) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Understanding of card life cycle, BIN management, transaction flow, fraud monitoring, and settlement processing.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
