Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Overview He/ She will oversee end-to-end financial management, trade operations, risk control, and compliance for the commodities trading business. The role requires deep expertise in trading processes, fund management, banking, documentation, logistics coordination, and negotiation with suppliers, buyers, and financial institutions. The candidate will ensure smooth execution of trades, optimize working capital, mitigate financial risks, and streamline operational efficiency across domestic and international commodity markets

Job Role:

  1. Financial Management & Operations

  • Handle LC, BG, SBLC, bill discounting, and credit structures. Optimize working capital and ensure funds availability.

  • Liaise with banks for credit lines and hedging.


    Trading Operations & Execution

  • Manage full trade lifecycle (import, domestic procurement, trading, export).

  • Oversee documentation and contract execution.

  • Coordinate with suppliers, logistics, warehouses, and customs. Monitor shipments, vessels, delivery, and stock movement. Ensure accuracy of all trade documents (BL, COO, LC docs, etc.).


    Supply Chain, Logistics & Vendor Management

  • Manage supplier and broker relationships.

  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment structures.

  • Implement operational efficiency and cost reduction


    Risk Management & Compliance

    • Monitor commodity price, forex, and counter-party risks.

    • Work on hedging, forwards, and risk mitigation.

    • Establish strong internal controls and SOPs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Skills / Qualification 10–20 years of experience in Finance & Operations in commodities trading OGANISSING

  • Strong understanding of trade finance, LC operations, hedging of commodities – Metal , forex.

  • Deep knowledge of global commodity markets & trading practices.

  • MBA Finance / CA / CFA preferred.

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.

  • Expertise in import/export documentation and logistics processes.
