DATA SCIENTIST – Global MNC

Our Client, a well-known European Multinational with world class leading brands, is a global leader in food products especially in the area of Dairy, Specialized Nutrition and Essential Food Ingredients. With offices in more than 30 countries and brand footprint in more than 100 countries, it is one of the largest companies in this segment.

The company now requires an experienced and technically qualified Data scientist for its Dubai office.

The main objective of the role is to deliver insights from data by optimizing the analytics process and presenting insights and visual data representations and help analyze Marketing, Sales & overall commercial trends to make better decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems.
• Collaborate with product owners and business owners and data engineering departments to understand company needs and devise possible solutions.
• Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
• Proactively analyze data for better understanding about how the business performs, and to automate analysis & reporting process within Consumer Dairy.
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
• Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner and by using data visualization techniques
• Pro-actively propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
• Ability to collaborate with agencies and manage external relations with technical companies, Data warehousing, Software suppliers (SAAS), & data engineers and data development teams

• Relevant Bachelors/Masters education
• 5+ years working experience and relevant track record working in international environments of which at least 3 years of experience working as a data scientist or data analyst.
• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms and experience with common data science toolkits
• Advanced analytics – Market mix modeling, Price elasticity, forecasting (360 Marketing)
• Proficiency in excel, R/ Python with machine learning/ Neural network algorithms and query languages such as SQL.
• Experience using business intelligence (BI) tools
• Experience with data visualization tools
