As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our organization s database systems. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the reliability, availability, security, and performance of the databases. You will be working closely with data analysts, developers, and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to database performance and data integrity. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of database architectures, advanced SQL knowledge, and proven experience with database management systems. Your keen analytical skills will be essential in developing and implementing robust database solutions and in making data-driven enhancements to support the organization s evolving needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain relational database systems to support application needs.
• Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions.
• Create and maintain database backups and recovery strategies to prevent data loss.
• Conduct database security assessments and implement necessary safeguards and encryptions.
• Optimize and configure databases for improved performance and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with developers to design, code, and implement efficient database systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and solve database integrity, performance, and security issues.
• Develop and enforce database administration and user standards and procedures.
• Produce detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and systems.
• Assist in data migrations and confirm the integrity and quality of data transfers.
• Work with IT teams to plan and implement backup, restore, and archival systems.
• Stay updated on emerging database technologies and trends to suggest improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role for at least 3 years.
• In-depth understanding of database concepts, architectures, and methodologies.
• Experience with database management systems like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Strong knowledge and experience working with SQL and database scripting languages.
• Familiarity with database security protocols and how to apply them effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
