Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments.
- Don’t let any customer’s overdue exceed 30 days from the due date
- Sending on daily basis payments reminder to all overdue customers
- Achieving the collection target on monthly basis
- Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts
- Coordinating with BU to clear any descoping work or discount amount from the customer overdue books
- Coordinating with BU finance to settle any amounts and close the overdue invoices
- Locate and contact Customers to inquire of their payment status on daily basis
- Negotiate pay off deadlines or payment plans
- Handle questions or complaints for customers and solve it immediately
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Create trust relationships with customers when possible to avoid future issues
- Update account status and database regularly
- Alert superiors of Customers unwilling or unable to pay when necessary
- Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable
- Maintains up-to-date customer contact information in the collections systems.
- Escalates and assists other team members with any support as needed.
- Identify deviations from predetermined payment plans.
- Call and email defaulters to restate their dues and get the payment confirmation
- Locate fugitive defaulters through telephonic and desktop investigations.
- Propose realistic, carefully constructed payment plans.
- Negotiate newly adjusted payment plans.
- Monitor defaulters’ repayments to stop recurrent non-compliance.
- Maintain an updated, exhaustive customer trail.
Desired Candidate Profile
- A minimum of a high school diploma; a bachelor's degree in finance or business is preferred to enhance understanding of financial concepts.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in collections or customer service to demonstrate proficiency in managing client relationships.
- Certification in debt collection practices (e.g., CCE, CDF) is a plus, showcasing your commitment to professional standards.
- Experience in financial services or legal environments, providing a solid grounding in the nuances of debt recovery processes.
- Preference for candidates with knowledge of local and federal debt collection laws to ensure compliance and ethical conduct.
- Strong technical skills with collection software and databases, enabling efficient tracking and reporting of accounts.
- Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills to effectively manage challenging conversations with debtors.
- Personal qualities such as resilience and patience to handle rejection and maintain motivation in a demanding role.
- Physical ability to work in an office environment and manage long periods of seated work while handling multiple accounts simultaneously.
