We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy Doha, Qatar for a :

Deck Operative/ Banksman M/F

Job Purpose:

• Safely assist in operation of various lifting and deck activit s within safe working load (SWL).
• Work at height within operational limits.
• Assist in completion of preventive maintenance work.
• Optimise the safe offloading and loading of cargo to and from supply vessels.
• Overseeing the safe Transfer of personnel to and from shuttle vessels.
• Provide visible leadership to personnel to ensure safety targets are met.
• Promote NOC core values by being a safety role model, showing trust, respect and commitment, brfostering collaboration across the organization.
• Promote cost consciousness in order to embed a strong cost culture.
• Drive an incident free environment by establishing and maintaining a strong incident free culture.
• Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, brthat ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.
• Ensure compliance with Operating Procedures and Guidelines to ensure Process Safety, Operational brSafety and Plant Integrity.

Profile

Education: High School Diploma / College Technical certificate in discipline or higher

Industry Experience: Minimum 4 years recent experience in offshore deck and cargo operations.

Competencies and Behaviors:

• Thorough knowledge of Offshore lifting operations and Helicopter operations.
• Ability to set and implement operational objectives.
• Motivated, flexible in approach and with a proactive mindset.
• Ability to work with teams in a complex and multicultural environment.
• Leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Computer literate.

Certifications:

• T-BOSIET
• H2S
• Fitness to Work Certificate
• Offshore Banksman Level 2 certificate
