Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Navigate efficiently through designated delivery zones, utilizing GPS and route optimization tools to ensure timely arrivals and minimize delays, taking into account traffic conditions.
- Safely operate and maintain assigned vehicle (bike or car), adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols, including pre-trip inspections and reporting any mechanical issues.
- Accurately verify order contents against delivery manifests, ensuring items are intact and correctly packaged before departure, resolving any discrepancies with the dispatch team.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor, handling customer inquiries or complaints with courtesy, and ensuring a positive delivery experience.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, including proper storage of food items and equipment, and promptly reporting any hygiene concerns.
- Collaborate with the dispatch team to optimize delivery routes, communicate delays, and update order statuses, ensuring seamless coordination.
- Manage and reconcile daily delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery records, submitting accurate reports.
- Adapt to fluctuating delivery volumes, seasonal demands, and varying weather conditions, maintaining a proactive and flexible approach.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Has a minimum of 1 year of proven delivery experience, reflecting practical knowledge of efficient routing and customer service.
- Demonstrates proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and route optimization apps, to ensure timely deliveries.
- Exhibits excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear interaction with customers and dispatch teams.
- Demonstrates strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle complaints, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Holds a valid driver's license and maintains a clean driving record, showcasing commitment to road safety.
