Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical models, historical data, and market intelligence to minimize forecast error.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather and incorporate relevant information into the demand planning process for improved alignment.
  • Analyze sales trends, promotional activities, and seasonality to identify demand drivers and predict future demand patterns.
  • Monitor and report on forecast accuracy, identify root causes of forecast errors, and implement corrective actions to improve forecasting performance.
  • Manage the demand planning system, ensuring data integrity, and conducting system maintenance and enhancements as needed.
  • Participate in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, providing demand insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
  • Analyze inventory levels and make recommendations to optimize inventory levels and minimize obsolescence.
  • Prepare and present demand forecasts and related analysis to stakeholders, including management and cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams; collaboration is key.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities; adaptability is crucial.
  • Knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and techniques; a solid understanding is necessary.
  • Experience with inventory management principles and practices; understanding supply chain dynamics is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting; precision is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a strong foundation is key.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analysis; proven experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, Blue Yonder, etc.) and advanced Excel skills; technical expertise is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends; critical thinking is a must.
