Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Master the preparation of a wide array of Indian hot kitchen dishes, ensuring authentic flavors and consistent quality.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting skill development.
- Manage and maintain inventory levels, minimizing waste and ensuring the availability of necessary ingredients.
- Adhere to strict hygiene and food safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized work station at all times.
- Execute all dishes according to standardized recipes and portion controls, contributing to cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other team members to create new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring dishes meet the highest standards of excellence.
Salary Offered - 2700 AED + Food Accommodation Transport Provided
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hot kitchen environment, specifically within Indian cuisine.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of various Indian cooking techniques, including tandoor, curries, and regional specialties.
- Exhibits a solid grasp of food safety and hygiene protocols, with relevant certifications (e.g., HACCP).
- Displays excellent knife skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Shows proficiency in inventory management and cost control within a kitchen setting.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, with fluency in English and preferably Hindi or another Indian language.
- Possesses exceptional teamwork and leadership abilities, with experience in supervising junior staff.
