As the Department Head- Business Sales you will be driving and delivering the strategic growth through the leadership of the large enterprises business sales organisation, developing and improving Ooredoo Oman’s position in the corporate & government market by ensuring that Ooredoo Oman meets the needs of the targeted customer segments, through a high-quality products & services portfolio and attractive offers, as well as an excellent sales and after sales support, leading the B2B channels to reach business customers across national corporales and government sectors, undertaking structured development, entablement, management, development and leadership of the corporate sales teams and building a strong network of relationships between Ooredoo Oman and the business and government sectors.
You will be responsible of leading the corporate and government segments of business sales department by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the AOP, defining clear and consistent strategies, financial targets and standards of performance for corporate direct sales channel and conduct the performance management of the channels, contributing to the overall B2B Sales strategy for Ooredoo Oman, delegating effectively to the team in order that they develop their skills and knowledge appraise accurately on a frequent basis the team members performance against their agreed performance contracts and ensure everyone has in place a development plan that is executed and the learning’s implemented, directing and overall responsibility for Ooredoo Oman’s Business Sales Targets for corporate and government segment, ensuring the delivery of sales strategy and achievement of financial and non-financial targets, defining the channel capacity and sizing required to deliver Ooredoo B2B ambitions and develop channels accordingly. Recruit, accredit, onboard, train and manage directly and through partner organisations, ensuring continued high levels of customer satisfaction and retention, leading, directing and motivating a team of direct reports to ensure the team hit the highest levels of individual performance which ensure segment and personal targets are met, ensuring that sales, and support have excellent knowledge about the complete product portfolio and the different offers and market activities Ensure full understanding and knowledge of competitors offers and solutions for the business segments, creating and managing effective cross functional working between the team and its stakeholders to ensure Time to market is on time every time, ensuring the timely delivery of all reports from the department and respective functional heads, delivering the monthly operational review and the inputs to the divisional, unit and group level reviews, ensuring policies and process are developed across the department and for them to be disseminated, stored, reviewed, monitored and followed and ensuring any audit points for noncompliance are resolved within the specified SLA’s.
You should have a minimum of 10+ years’ commercial experience – predominantly in a telecom environment – is required out of which 3-5 years in a sales management role, thorough knowledge of telecoms technology, network and product development, excellent working and sales exposure in a competitive environment, up to date on the emerging trends in mobile telephony. Hand held devices, wireless, telephony and new products and services with a bachelor degree in sales and marketing or a business qualification to degree level.
