Deputy Manager - Mechanical Maintenance (Boiler) Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (PJSC)

1. Financial & Budget Management

• Prepare annual maintenance budgets and monitor expenditures.

• Analyse maintenance cost trends and recommend corrective actions.

• Optimize O&M activities in line with efficiency and cost-control objectives.

2. Operational & Maintenance Execution

• Lead preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities.

• Review and prioritize maintenance plans, contracts, and technical work orders.

• Ensure full compliance with OEM recommendations and DEWA standards.

• Monitor boiler performance, equipment condition, and material consumption.

3. Technical Problem-Solving

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to high-pressure boilers (100 bar / 500°C), valves, actuators, piping, and pressure vessels.

• Recommend system modifications, improvements, and technical enhancements.

• Ensure proper implementation of Quality Procedures, reporting systems, and emergency coordination.

4. New Projects & Upgrades

• Analyze, review, and propose amendments to technical specifications and layouts.

• Coordinate with OEMs and internal teams during new equipment installations and commissioning.

• Ensure warranty compliance and support root-cause analysis of abnormalities.

5. People & Training Leadership

• Supervise, coach, and develop engineering and technician teams.

• Ensure continuous capability development aligned with the latest technologies.

• Lead Emiratization initiatives in accordance with DEWA’s strategic objectives.

6. Safety & Confidentiality

• Enforce occupational health and safety standards (OH&S).

• Ensure strict non-disclosure of confidential information.

• Promote a safety-first culture within the maintenance department.
