Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the project's integrated schedule, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and project milestones.
  • Lead the project's cost control activities, including budget management, forecasting, and variance analysis, to ensure financial discipline.
  • Manage the project's change management process, evaluating the impact of changes and implementing necessary adjustments to the schedule and budget.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential risks and proactively developing mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure the timely delivery of project deliverables.
  • Develop and implement project control procedures and guidelines, promoting standardization and efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor a team of project control professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Participate in project reviews and audits, providing expert input and ensuring the integrity of project data.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in project management principles.
  • Hold relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent, showcasing a commitment to professional development and project management best practices.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls within the oil and gas industry, illustrating a deep understanding of project complexities.
  • Exhibit experience in managing multi-million dollar projects, proving the ability to handle large-scale initiatives with financial acumen.
  • Showcase a strong track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget, highlighting a history of achieving project goals.
  • Possess advanced proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project, indicating technical expertise.
  • Display exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, reflecting the capacity to effectively address project challenges.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills, showcasing the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
