Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Store Operations Management
Lead and supervise all store activities including receiving, storage, issuance and dispatch of materials.
Ensure accurate handling of 20,000+ SKUs, including steel pipes, fittings, consumables and spare parts.
Maintain optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted production operations.
Implement and enforce SOPs for material handling, safety and housekeeping.
Inventory Control & SAP Management
Oversee all SAP MM transactions including GRN, material issuance, stock adjustments and cycle counts.
Ensure real-time and error-free data entry in SAP for all store activities.
Conduct periodic stock audits, cycle counts and reconciliation with SAP records.
Monitor slow-moving, obsolete and excess inventory and propose corrective actions.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Manage and mentor store executives, supervisors and supporting staff.
Coordinate closely with procurement, production, QA/QC and logistics teams.
Ensure timely availability of materials as per production schedules.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE standards and audit requirements.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports for management review.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance store efficiency and reduce costs.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or related field.
14–18 years of experience in store management within manufacturing (steel industry preferred).
Strong command of SAP MM module (mandatory).
Proven experience managing large inventories (20,000+ line items).
Excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills.
Strong understanding of material classification, FIFO/FEFO and warehouse best practices.
