The role of the Design Engineer is to plan, design and model the scenarios for the development of the sewage system to ensure safe, timely and cost-effective management of network replacement and assets expansion. Your role Assess project requests. Forecast and plan for future demand. Evaluate hydraulic calculations and assess catchment characteristics. Developing project scope from outline statement of requirements. Reviewing TORS, tender/contract documents for discipline related inputs. Evaluating technical offers, and review and approve technical submittals and proposals. provided by Designers including reports, drawings, calculations, etc., as specified in the contract. Specify and design works as required and advised by Client . Also, Perform technical overview of Consultant deliverables. Review Consultant/Contractor designs for technical completeness and conformance with standards and norms.Review projects master plans. Contribute to strategic planning. Manage project timelines and risks. Monitor progress of project and costs. Assist in and contribute to handling claims. Conduct site inspections and inspections at manufacturers/suppliers/vendors/technology providers. As required Ensure compliance of work with contract, schedule, budget and advise Project. Identify opportunities to apply new technology to organization s advantage. Update knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis. Contribute to financial planning. Ensure quality and compliance. Maintain documentation and reporting to client. Communicate with stakeholders.
