Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and implement the Interface Management Plan and Design Integration Strategy
Identify, define, and manage all project interfaces across civil, structural, rail systems, stations, and operational disciplines
Establish and maintain the interface register, ensuring all interfaces are tracked, coordinated, and resolved
Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure fully integrated and consistent design outputs
Ensure effective integration between infrastructure, stations, rail systems, and operational environments, including airport interfaces (landside/terminal integration)
Manage and coordinate interfaces with airport systems, including Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), passenger flow, terminal access, and intermodal connections
Facilitate interface workshops and coordination meetings with project teams, contractors, airport stakeholders, and authorities
Manage interface agreements, responsibilities, and deliverables between all parties, including airport operators and specialist system providers
Ensure alignment of design outputs with project requirements, programme, and budget
Support Systems Engineering processes, including requirements flow-down and interface definition
Coordinate with Configuration and Requirements teams to maintain interface traceability
Identify and manage interface risks, including those related to airport operations and BHS integration, and implement mitigation strategies
Lead design reviews to ensure all interfaces, including airport and BHS systems, are properly addressed and resolved
Coordinate with authorities, operators, and external stakeholders to ensure approvals and alignment
Monitor design progress and ensure timely resolution of interface issues
Support construction and delivery teams by ensuring clarity of interfaces during implementation
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related field from a recognized university. Professional certification or membership in a relevant institute is an advantage
10 years of relevant experience in rail projects and/or rail operations (GCC or international experience preferred)
Proven experience in design integration and interface management on large-scale rail or infrastructure projects
Strong experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and complex system interfaces
Good understanding of rail systems, civil infrastructure, stations, and operational interfaces
Experience in airport integration projects, including coordination with terminal operations and intermodal transport systems
Exposure to Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) and their interface with rail and station infrastructure is an advantage
Experience in Systems Engineering processes and interface management methodologies
Experience managing interface registers, coordination processes, and stakeholder alignment
Strong knowledge of design development stages and tender documentation
Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
