Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end design process, from concept through to IFC, construction, and handover.
• Act as the primary interface between client, consultants, and project delivery teams on all design matters.
• Manage and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP design packages across complex developments.
• Ensure all designs are aligned with client objectives, budget, programme, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive design coordination workshops and technical reviews to resolve clashes and optimise solutions.
• Oversee design programme management, ensuring timely delivery of all design stages and deliverables.
• Review and challenge design outputs to ensure buildability, value engineering, and cost efficiency.
• Manage design change control processes, ensuring proper documentation and stakeholder alignment.
• Liaise with relevant authorities and master developers to secure design approvals and compliance.
• Support construction teams during delivery, ensuring design intent is maintained on site.
• Lead risk identification and mitigation related to design and coordination.
• Mentor and guide junior team members where required
• Lead authority approvals and inspections with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, utilities, and relevant master developers.
• Chair and lead all key project meetings including design coordination, technical workshops, progress meetings, and handover readiness reviews.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, safety, and workmanship across all residential floors and common areas.
• Oversee handover planning, testing & commissioning, snagging, and phased residential occupation.
• Support and mentor junior project management staff assigned to residential packages or towers.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• 7+ years experience in Design Management / Project Management within the UAE.
• Architectural background (essential).
• Proven experience working as a Design Manager within a PMC / consultancy environment.
• Strong track record delivering large-scale, complex projects (e.g. residential, mixed-use, master developments).
• In-depth understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination (architecture, structure, MEP).
• Experience managing projects through full lifecycle, from concept design to construction and handover.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements, codes, and approval processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness, with the ability to balance design quality, cost, and programme.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, solution-driven approach.
