Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Category & Sourcing Execution
- Manage assigned direct procurement categories (e.g. packaging, raw materials, components)
- Execute sourcing activities: RFQs/RFPs, cost analysis, negotiations
- Support supplier selection for new product development (NPD) and relaunches
- Ensure alignment with quality, lead time, MOQ, and cost targets
Supplier Management & Performance
- Manage supplier relationships at an operational level
- Track supplier KPIs (OTIF, quality, lead time, responsiveness)
- Support supplier performance reviews and corrective action plans
- Escalate risks and issues proactively
Contracting & Compliance
- Ensure suppliers are contracted using standard templates
- Coordinate with Legal and Finance on contract execution
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approval processes
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Supply Chain, QA, Product Development, and Marketing
- Support product launches by ensuring supplier readiness and capacity
- Act as Procurement point of contact for assigned categories
Continuous Improvement
- Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
- Contribute to procurement process improvements
- Maintain accurate supplier and sourcing documentation
Experience
- 5 8 years of experience in Direct Procurement
- Experience in FMCG, beauty, cosmetics, or consumer goods preferred
- Exposure to packaging and/or raw materials sourcing
Skills
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Operationally strong, detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
- Good stakeholder communication skills
