Responsible for the oversight and execution of contract requirements associated with multiple Aviation Programs. Serves as the Vice President General Manager s (VPGM) direct interface between the US Government (USG) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers for all activities associated with daily aviation operations, training, and contractual mission support requirements. Director of Aviation (DAT) develops and institutes company aviation policies and procedures and is responsible for the management of his annual operating budget. Oversees training programs inclusive of aviation qualification course, aviation maintenance, English language training and functional area training. Establishes and maintains partnerships with key USG and FMS customers. Responsible for the oversight of all personnel and activities associated with DAT operations and support to the FMS Aviation Contracts.
A. Duties/responsibilities:
• Oversees the contractual, operational and administrative functions of the Aviation Contracts. Establishes organizational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in order to meet contractual requirements.
• Oversees the budget management for accounts in support of the Aviation Programs
• Currently serves as the primary Company point of contact and interface with Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG) Aviation Command and USG Office of the Program Manager (OPM) for operations, training, and support functions in support of SANG Aviation Modernization Program.
• Oversees the contractual, operational and administrative functions of the Aviation Contracts. Establishes organizational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in order to meet contractual requirements.
• Oversees the budget management for accounts in support of the Aviation Programs
• Responsible to the VPGM for the coordination of company operational efforts to accomplish contract deliverables and requirements as they relate to current aviation and future opportunities.
• Acts as chief resourcer and quality control coordinator for all directorate requirements allowing division managers freedom of action.
• Oversees all aviation subcontract requirements
• Responsible for the establishment of maintenance systems processes, procedures, and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform Operational Readiness rates.
• Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of standard operation procedures for all activities including but not limited to; Airfield Management, Air Traffic Control, Crash Fire Rescue, Safety, Environmental, Maintenance, Aviation Flight and Non-Flight Training, and Aviation
• Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
• Reports directly to the VPGM. Exercises authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities. Retains the decision making authority for risk tolerability.

Desired Candidate Profile


A. Education Level:
• Baccalaureate degree.
• Preferred: MBA or other Master s degree.
B. Training Certifications:
• Former rotary or fixed wing pilot.
C. Experience:
• Minimum of ten (10) years management experience in commercial or military aviation.
• Ideal candidate for this position possesses proven leadership skills, as well as a strong ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that encourages portfolio growth.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities with effective decision making skills.
• Experience with developing budgets and writing business plans.
• Preferred: Former Aviation Brigade Commander or equivalent; Division, Corps, or Major Command (MACOM) staff experience; former US Armed Services General Officer or Colonel desired
• Desired: Doctrine and curriculum development, training management, and maintenance programs; performance in management of large complex organizations with diverse missions
D. Specific knowledge, skill, ability, requirements:
• Ability deal effectively with multicultural personnel.
• Knowledge of contract mechanisms.
• Demonstrated past performance in the development of organizational plans, policies, and operational procedures.
