Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Director of Finance and Investment will serve as the senior executive responsible for the financial health and management of all companies under the Chairman’s oversight. This will involve focusing on performance metrics, cash flow and the evaluation of investment opportunities. The role involves strategic financial analysis and planning, and the presentation of financial updates across organization’s multi-sector businesses. Reporting directly to the Chairman, the CFO will provide leadership in financial strategy, risk management, budgeting, forecasting. The role ensures sustainable growth, financial efficiency, and alignment of business objectives across all subsidiaries and investments, as well as ensuring the Chairman is well informed of financial developments to support strategic decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the organization as long-term goals.
  • Identify and assess potential investment opportunities
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the Chairman and senior management on financial performance, business opportunities, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance across all business units and subsidiaries.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
  • Conduct analysis to support strategic decisions, including investments, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Ensure financial targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) are established, monitored, and achieved.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring adequate controls and reporting mechanisms.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE and international financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Oversee audits, tax planning, and statutory reporting.

Operations & Process Optimization

  • Lead finance and accounting teams across all business units.
  • Streamline financial processes, systems, and reporting for efficiency and transparency.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration to drive operational and financial excellence.

Investor & Stakeholder Relations

  • Prepare financial presentations for boards, investors, and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the Chairman, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external financial advisors.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing finance teams across subsidiaries.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and ethical financial practices.
  • Foster alignment between finance and operational teams across sectors.

Treasury Management

  • Manage liquidity, cashflow, and funding strategies to ensure operational efficiency and financial stability.
  • Optimize capital allocation and working capital across all business units and subsidiaries.
  • Oversee banking relationships, dept management, and investment of surplus funds
  • Implement treasury policies, control, and risk mitigation measures to safeguard organizational assets.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
  • Professional certifications preferred (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of financial management experience, preferably with multi-sector organizations.
  • Investment analysis experience.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, taxation, and risk management.
  • Experience in strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, and investor relations.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with UAE and international financial regulations and compliance standards.
