- Duties & Responsibilities:
- To manage the full operations of the Technology Group within Qatar. This will include accountability for:
Strategic Management and Leadership:
• Gain a clear understanding of the strategic objectives set by the CEO.
• Prepare/Provide strategic input into /the business plan and / or redevelop / refine the business plan in alignment with the strategic objectives as set by the Chairman and get it approved by the CEO.
• Execute the approved business plan within the assigned market /activities.
Your main responsibility is the operational aspects of the company namely all the commercial and technical matters.
• Interface in a timely manner with the support structures locally and at group level in order to ensure that they meet the required needs and to facilitate the achievement of the approved business plan and strategic goals and objectives.
• Lead, Guide, direct, control and mentor team in the execution of their required deliverables in order to achieve the approved business plan.
• Disseminate goals to reportees in order that they are aware of the company expectations, and that these goals reflect the approved business plan.
• Collect strong statistical information to measure performance for yourself and your direct reportees.
• Actively develop the micro and macro skills of your direct reports in the pursuit of developing a strong senior management team.
• Ensure that the operational structures of the company comply with requirements and are as per best business practice .
• Ensure that all operating mischief s are promptly dealt with and that continuous improvement mechanisms ensure non recurrence of these.
• Ensure internal controls are followed strictly in monitoring:
• Sales
• Commercial contractual matters
• Projects Management/Projects Executions/Projects Planning
• Regulatory compliance with regards operational / technical / commercial matters
• Risk management / aversion
• Vendor relations
• Cost management
• Invoicing and Collections
• Staff management
• Provide clear, accurate and regular reporting to the Chairman in the form of a dashboard .
• Prepare Annual (or when required) Budgets and Forecasts, broken down to monthly milestones.
Business Development:
• Represent the company as the Ambassador of Site Technology to all internal and external stakeholders, seeking and maintaining a high level of visibility for the company in the local market.
• Represent the company in any public capacity as its spokesperson as required, including at conferences and exhibitions.
• To be an active Sales Leader for the company, identifying and acting upon commercial opportunities in the market.
• To lead the drive for sales in each Division.
• Identify, evaluate, develop and communicate new business opportunities and clients within the local market in order to facilitate revenue growth and expand market share for the company.
• Identify any new business opportunities and communicate these to the CEO. This may include requiring due diligence and feasibility exercises.
• Develop strategic alliances with top local and international clients with the objective of raising the company s success rate in the pre-qualification and winning of new contracts.
• Develop relationships with clients / prospective clients at senior level.
• Ensuring that a comprehensive data base is kept of tenders, leads, opportunities and pre-qualifications.
• Conduct regular market analysis and forecasting, submitting reports to the CEO on a monthly basis.
• Monitor and follow all tenders, work in hand and ongoing projects.
• Coordinate very closely on all major bids with the Chairman before any final decision in bid submission as specified in the authority matrix.
• Be responsible and accountable for the profitable running of the business, protecting both Gross and Net profit margins.
• Coordinate the preparation of your annual budget.
• Coordinate the preparation of your project profit & loss statement and your cash flow statement.
